Best Fishing Beaches

Maryland's beach fishing scene splits clean along Bay versus Atlantic lines. Chesapeake Bay fishing piers target striped bass (rockfish), white perch, catfish, and blue crabs. Atlantic surf fishing at Assateague and Ocean City targets stripers, bluefish, flounder, and red drum. State fishing license is required in tidal waters, a Chesapeake Bay license covers both, and there are limits on size and season that change yearly.
