Reid State Park

375 Seguinland Rd, Georgetown, ME 04548

Maine's first state-owned saltwater beach — 1.5 miles of barrier-island sand on the rugged Mid-Coast. Two beaches (Mile and Half-Mile), a salt-pond lagoon kids can swim in even when the Atlantic is too cold, and granite headlands at each end. Wilder and colder than the southern Maine beaches, and worth the drive.

Ideal for a beach walk.
