Park Drive, Bronx, NY 10464

The Bronx's only public beach — a 1.1-mile crescent of imported sand on Long Island Sound, carved out of Pelham Bay Park by Robert Moses in the 1930s. Known as "the Riviera of New York," with a hexagonal-block promenade and a landmark Art Deco pavilion (currently closed for restoration).
