Hug Point State Recreation Site

80424 Oregon Coast Hwy, Arch Cape, OR 97102

A 43-acre cove beach 5 miles south of Cannon Beach, named for the stagecoaches that had to "hug" the rocks around the point at low tide — wagon-wheel ruts are still visible in the sandstone. A short walk north reveals a seasonal waterfall, shallow sea caves, and tide pools.

Great day for a beach walk.
