Two miles of sand on Useless Bay, south Whidbey, and the best-known off-leash dog beach in Washington. The bay is so shallow that low tide pulls the water back more than 2,500 feet, leaving a vast wet flat you can walk for miles. Olympics to the west, Seattle's skyline and Mount Rainier to the south.
